Engage and build confidence
We want students to feel inspired by maths, enjoy the challenge, and grow in confidence through success.
Interconnection and Depth
We want students to be able to see the connections between topics and also have the opportunity to study ideas in depth.
A Firm Foundation
We will provide firm foundations and develop the core knowledge and skills needed for the iGCSE course.
iGCSE Exam Practice and Preparation
We will ensure students are thoroughly prepared for their exams through regular exposure to past paper questions, targeted revision of high-value topics, and explicit development of exam techniques and problem-solving strategies.
Our GCSE Journey courses are designed to suit different starting points, goals, and timeframes. Each pathway follows the Pearson Edexcel International GCSE in Mathematics (Specification A), with a focus on building confidence, developing mastery, and achieving exam success.
The classic approach would be to complete Year 1 followed by the Year 2 course. This would prepare students for the summer 2028 examination.
Those wanting to sit the examination Summer 2027 should choose the Year 2 course.
The course content is also suitable for students wanting to sit examinations with other exam boards*.

GCSE Journey
The Pearson Edexcel International GCSE in Mathematics (Specification A) is followed, covering all aspects of Number, Algebra, and Geometry.
The GCSE journey course provides a thorough preparation for the iGCSE exam, focusing on depth of understanding, problem-solving, and confident application of skills.
Our KS4 courses are tailored specifically to the Edexcel iGCSE specification, but the material covered is entirely suitable for learners preparing for all other major exam boards*. The mathematical content is universally applicable, essential, and highly useful for building a top-tier foundation, regardless of the specific paper your child will sit.

*Please note: Bespoke, individual sessions can be arranged at an extra cost for learners who wish to cover specific non-calculator methods required by other exam boards.
These courses will be webinar style. This means I am the only one talking, there will be no cameras or microphones on except mine. The students will be able to chat to me via the chat box system, but not with each other.
Many home-education and tuition programmes offer just one Maths lesson each week — but we believe that two 60 minute lessons a week provides the ideal balance for effective learning.
Our sessions take place on consecutive days (Thursday and Friday), giving students the opportunity to build and deepen their understanding across the two lessons while topics are still fresh. The following five-day gap before the next pair of sessions allows valuable time for practice and consolidation, helping new ideas to become secure and long-term knowledge.
This rhythm supports consistent progress, builds confidence, and keeps learning structured yet manageable within a home-education schedule.
Lesson notes to complete during each session will be provided, along with a topic booklet containing key points and additional practice questions. Optional weekly homework tasks will be set through the Dr Frost Learning platform.
There will be end of topic assessments, which will take place during lessons. Andy will mark these and provide written feedback. These assessments are an important part of the learning process, helping students check their understanding, identify areas for improvement, and strengthen long-term retention of key concepts.
We believe that education should be accessible to everyone, which is why we offer our Mathmaticks courses at affordable prices. A full refund will be issued after the first 2 sessions if you do not wish to continue. All you need to do is email Andy before the third session at the start of week 2 and you will receive a full refund.
